Ear Tubes: The Day Before
Posted on Thursday, July 8th, 2010 at 9:29 amHenry has endured several ear infections over his first few months of life so tomorrow morning he is headed to get ear tubes. The tubes will let the fluid behind his ear drum drain. This should help him feel better and prevent him from getting as many ear infections.
The doctor, Paul Bauer, said the actual surgery will last about five minutes. He said Henry may be fussy while the anesthesia wears of but he should be back to normal by the end of the day. The worst part for Henry will be that he can’t eat until after the surgery.
We’re still waiting to hear about the exact time, but we expect it to be between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. Several other parents have told us that getting tubes for their kid made a night and day difference in how their kid feels.
I’ll post an update tomorrow after the surgery.
Update: Henry’s surgery is scheduled for 6:30 a.m. which means we have to leave the house at 5 a.m.
We have been praying for this since we heard. We are sure everything will be fine. Let us know when it is over. Love to all!
Prayers here too.
