Weird and Wonderful Dallas

Posted on Monday, August 30th, 2010 at 8:00 am

A few weeks ago Erin and I had a date night so I surprised Erin with James’ Tour of the Weird and Wonderful in Dallas. Basically it was just a few places that she had never been before. I hadn’t visited most of them either. It made for a fun evening. Aunt TM and Uncle Mo watched Henry so we could enjoy our night on the town.

The places:

  • Lego Dallas exhibit at Northpark Mall
  • Meadows Museum Sculpture Gardern at SMU
  • Pearl Cup Coffee House on Henderson
  • Katy Trail near Knox
  • 106 flavor soda machine at Taco Bueno on 75
  • Jesus statue at First United Methodist of Richardson

First Date

Erin and I escaped the house on Thursday for about 45 minutes to purchase a few items at Target. Erin’s mom has been hanging out at the house during the day to help us with Henry. We left Henry sleeping with her and headed out. When we returned, Granny said that Henry had only stretched once and otherwise laid still. Success.

I told Erin that now that we have a kid that 45 minutes out of the house with just the two of us counts as a date.

Don't worry Henry is in good hands at the house with his Granny.
