State Fair of Texas
Posted on Monday, November 1st, 2010 at 9:14 pmOctober in Dallas means that it’s time for the State Fair. Since Henry was too small to venture in public last year, this was his first trip to the fair. We went twice, once with Samuel and his parents and once with Erin’s family.
Henry’s favorite part was the petting zoo, though Fletcher’s Corny Dogs was a close second.
Coloring at the fair (not that exciting unless you’re a grandparent).

Water Babies
Posted on Wednesday, July 7th, 2010 at 10:51 pmAll good parents teach their children to swim, or so we’re told. So we’re getting started early. We took Henry to a class entitled, “Water Babies”. Basically it’s just supervised play time in the pool so the kids get used to playing in the pool. As usual, Henry supplied some cute photos from the experience.
Happy New Year
Posted on Friday, January 1st, 2010 at 2:49 pmWe headed over to Samuel’s house for New Year’s Eve. However, knowing that babies don’t do well late at night. We celebrated the new year with San Juan, Puerto Rico at 8 p.m. Texas time. While Samuel fell asleep in my arms around 7:30 p.m. and headed to his crib shortly after, Henry stayed awake just long enough to ring in the adjusted New Year.
Note: We found out about the Twelve Grapes new year tradition in Puerto Rico too late to try it, but maybe next year.
